the Carrot and the Stick - SSSBL

NOTE: the rsync set up is not yet functional, but the list of IP addresses is available currently at http://tcats.stop-spam.org/sssbl/sssbl.txt.

This list is a list of servers belonging Service Provers that provide services to spammers, or support spammers after we notified them of their customer sending us and/or our clients spam. The spam continues unabated from their servers and/or for customers on their servers.

WARNING: If you use this list you most likely will have false positives. If you are listed here then you must take action to correct the situation or we will not remove your listing.

The methodology for creating the SSSBL is as follows:
1. We and/or our client(s) receive one or more spam.
2. We retrieve all the received lines.
3. We identify the sending/connecting server/IP address by IP address as those belonging to and/or under the control of affiliates [spammers] for hire that send spam.
4. We send a complaint containing the spam, including the headers 5. The provider does not respond and/or does not appear to have done anything to stop the spam and/or the spam continues from their servers.
