the Carrot and the Stick - SSBL level 1

NOTE: the set up below is not yet functional, but the list of IP addresses is available currently at http://tcats.stop-spam.org/ssbl/ssbl-1/ssbl-1. Dynastop currently distributes TCATS Snow Shoe level 1 Blacklist.

Level 1 any and all Affiliate IP addresses that are traceable to the affiliate whether or not they have sent us and/or our clients spam.

"This means if an affiliate is productive and purchases IP addresses from multiple providers, all of the IP space under control of that affiliate, will be listed whether or not the IP addresses were ever used to send spam." There will most like never be any false positives because this list is for spam senders only.

The methodology for creating the SSBL is as follows:
1. We and/or our client(s) receive one or more spam for a product and/or service of seemingly legitimate companies.
2. We retrieve all the received lines.
3. We identify the sending/connecting server/IP address by IP address as those belonging to and/or under the control of affiliates [spammers] for hire that send spam.
4. We list the sending/connecting server by that IP address and see if we can identify IP addresses surrounding the connecting IP as belonging to and/or being under control of the "affiliate" and if we can reasonably identify other IP addresses in the same block as belonging to and/or being under control of the "affiliate" they will be listed also as a preventative measure.

The IP address must conform to requirements above to be listed in this list. Each of the list has specific criteria so there are no unexpected/unpleasant surprises.
